Dear Parents and Students,
Our day was filled with fun and excitement and new learning.
We worked throughout the morning with Mrs. Quilley's class building our understanding of Remembrance day and what the cost of war meant to so many people. We brainstormed vocabulary lists that related to Remembrance Day and had meaning to us and then we learned how we could use those words to create unique poems such as Acrostic poems, Haikus, Free Verse, or Shape poems.
We were fortunate to have our first day working with Jeff Stockton by having him play his harp and tell us an amazing tale that we all reflected upon later in the day. We will continue working with him for the next week and a half.
We all had dance today with Ms. Janelle.
Both grade 3s and 4s had math today as we continued our exploration on numeracy.
