" We started our day going to Mrs. Quilley's class to see Jeff Stockton. And he was talking to us about getting the "Woosh" feeling when you go up in front of others. We listened to more of a story. " - Aryana
" Then we had music. " - Alex
" We had gym and we played scooter tag." - Sahran
" Ms Collins read one story called Grandmother spider. This story is one of the choices for story telling with Jeff Stockton."- Ms. Collins
After lunch all students went to the gym to watch the movie "Inside Out". After the movie we had a short body break and snack. Then we listened to another story read by Miss Brieley called 'The Rabbit in the Moon". We ended the day starting to write a writing rubric together as a class.

We have a strong need for Calgary Reads volunteers who are able to donate 35 minutes twice a week for about 4 months to read with struggling Grade 2 readers during the school day. Cranston School will be offering a training component on Thursday, November 26th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
If you are able to support this initiative and are able to attend Calgary Reads training on Thursday, November 26th, please call Angele Borrelli at 403-777-6267 ext. 0 or email @ [email protected].
A maximum of 15 people need to attend in order for Calgary Reads representative to come and train at Cranston School on November 26th.
