Today was a very busy day at Cranston School once again.
We had our very first fire drill of the year and all the students did a marvelous job and exited the school quickly and quietly without incident.
We also celebrated international peace day and showed our support by gathering outside on the compound with our "pinwheels for peace" and sang songs to the music provided by Mrs. McBride.
After all of our school business was completed we began developing our writing skills in pairs so that partners could bounce ideas off of each other when creating more descriptive inviting sentences. We will continue this work tomorrow.
In the afternoon the Gr.3s began writing the first part of their SLAs while the Gr.4s worked with Mrs. Quilley on their ongoing math project.
We finished the day with our inquiry work surrounding the idea of an election and all that encompasses it with the other grade 3/4 classes in the Hope Wing.
Meet the teacher night is Thursday, September 24 so be sure and register a time to come stop by and introduce yourself and say hi!
