Hello Parents and Students,
Today was a very full day. We started our morning practicing our stories with a partner. Our partners gave us some tips on how to make our stories more exciting and encouraged us to 'show me more'. We then continued our talk about Random Acts of Kindness and introduced our RAK jar. Students are encouraged to write on a piece of paper with their random act of kindness every time they perform one and put the paper in the jar. We're excited to watch our jar fill up! We had snack and then music and gym. Gym class will be outside all week as the classes our busy rehearsing inside so please dress appropriately. We finished our morning with some word work with Ms. Briersley. After lunch, we had a fire drill and then went to our math groups. It was a pretty short math class as we had 'Crafternoon' today. Students were able to sign up for whichever craft (Christmas decoration) they wanted to make and then spent an hour making the decoration and listening to a story. All the decorations made by our class and Mrs. Quilley's class were then put on our shared tree. It looks fantastic! The last part of our day was spent making our final blueprints for our bridges which will be built tomorrow. We have a lot of supplies in the classroom to use (thank you all!), but are still in need of a few things. If you have any of the following to share with the class, please bring them in tomorrow.
- pipe cleaner
- tape (packing tape or duct tape)
- wood
- pop cans
- string/rope
- wire
Homework:
Janice bought 3 bags of 112 peanuts and 4 bags of 75 pretzels for a party. How many total pretzels and peanuts did Janice buy?
Have a great night.
Very Important! The Peace Ambassadors and EcoTeam are asking YOU to bring canned goods, nonperishable food items, paper towel, and tissues to contribute to The Mayor’s Food Drive for TOMORROW! They are going to build a dreamy structure, from all the contributions. Please bring in your donations, and place them int the bins, first thing, tomorrow morning!
